Junior Product Engineer

The Junior Product Engineer is responsible for assisting in designing products and corresponding manufacturing pro-cesses. In addition, responsible for assisting with transitioning the product from design to manufacturing at scale, delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Responsible for daily support in pro-duction activities and drive improvements in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Responsible to solve problems where analysis of a situation is required to meet the requirements of the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with designs and perform tests on existing products and newly developed products; documents test results; performs analyses.
  • Assist with designing prototypes for testing and testing programs, leading to successful new product launches.
  • Participate in design discussions to develop creative solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Conduct performance and reliability tests on newly developed products and existing products.
  • Join manufacturing improvement meetings to gather feedback on existing product design concepts and per-form adjustments as required.
  • Participate in Engineering meetings and engage in innovation process on new products.
  • Work alongside the leads to implement Engineering change requests.
  • Assemble working prototypes and production control samples.
  • Provides engineering support to manufacturing; product engineering for manufacturability product schematics; wiring diagrams, industry liaison.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical Engineering.\
  • Graduate from University or Technical College.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Strong aptitude combined with knowledge in thermodynamics, mass transfer/heat transfer and mechanical design.
  • Willingness to be hands-on, go on the production floor and get things done.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing process development and/or new product introduction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities are required in documenting inspection results, interpret-ing test results and must be able to prepare results of inspections for referral to others.
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of product specifications, wiring specifications and production pro-cesses, and end user requirements.
