Job Overview
This position is for Friday - Monday for 10 hour shifts. his is a midnight shift position. Training will occur on alternate shift for three weeks and then will transition to Friday-Monday shift schedule.
$2.00 in addition to wage for shift premium for Saturday and Sunday.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwright to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Work as part of a team to conduct the installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in a manufacturing environment. Able to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications to provide troubleshooting and repair services. Lead the process to develop preventive maintenance and continuous improvement programs to improve efficiency and output of the production facility. Routinely perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and components to ensure the continued safe, efficient and effective operations of all equipment and fixtures utilized by the organization.
Position Overview
This position will primarily support plant maintenance activities (approximately 70% of workload) while also providing ownership and support for critical utility systems (approximately 30% of workload). The role is intended to strengthen reliability, safety, compliance, and technical knowledge retention for the site's utility infrastructure while maintaining regular maintenance responsibilities within the plant.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintenance Responsibilities (70%)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and support production uptime.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
- Support equipment installations, modifications, and repairs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Respond to maintenance-related emergencies and equipment breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Follow all plant safety, quality, and food safety requirements.
- Support ownership of boiler, air compressor, glycol, and HVAC systems.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors performing utility-related work.
- Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance planning for utility systems.
- Perform utility system inspections and condition monitoring.
- Support energy efficiency and utility reliability improvement initiatives.
- Assist with regulatory compliance requirements related to utility systems.
- Develop and maintain site-specific technical knowledge of utility equipment.
- Provide technical support during utility equipment failures and emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ontario Millwright (433A) Certification.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ability to coordinate and work effectively with contractors and service providers.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with boilers, compressed air systems, HVAC, and glycol/chilled water systems.
- 4th Class Operating Engineer Certification (Ontario).
- Operating Engineer certification recognized by TSSA.
- Refrigeration Operator Certification or relevant industrial refrigeration experience.
- Experience within a food manufacturing environment.
