Job Description
About the job
At Andriani Ltd., we are not just making pasta — we are redefining it. As a leading manufacturer of gluten-free pasta, we combine innovation, quality, and sustainability to create products that meet the needs of modern consumers without compromising on taste or nutrition.
Andriani began with a specific idea: to innovate the sector for pasta production and sale, creating a product that was naturally gluten-free and healthy, with a unique flavour and a variety of new ingredients (rice, corn, quinoa, buckwheat, amaranth, lentils and peas). Now in our startup phase in Canada, we are building a dynamic team to help launch and grow our North American operations. If you are excited by the idea of joining a purpose-driven company at the ground level, where your work truly makes an impact, Andriani could be the perfect fit.
As our new state-of-the-art production facility in London, Ontario, is nearing completion, we are seeking a detailed oriented and proactive Quality Control Specialist to help ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, consistency and excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Control Specialist is responsible for testing, analyzing, and ensuring the quality of all raw materials used in pasta production.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, CFIA, and gluten-free certification standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve quality issues in real-time.
- Assist in internal audits and support third-party inspections and certifications.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory and testing equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Work is performed in both a laboratory and production floor environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
What You Bring:
- Diploma or degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field.
- Preferred certifications: HACCP certification, Preventative Controls for Human Food, or Food Safety Auditor Training.
- Minimum 2 years in quality control, food safety, or raw material inspection in a food manufacturing environment (preferably pasta or grain-based production).
- Familiarity with gluten testing methods and allergen control programs.
- Knowledge of Canadian Food Safety Regulations (CFIA, SFCR, HACCP, GMP).
- Proficient with analytical testing methods for flour, semolina, and other pasta ingredients.
- Strong understanding of supplier quality assurance and raw material evaluation processes.
Why Join Us?
- Joining us now means more than just a job – it is a front row seat to a startup experience backed by global expertise – and you have the chance to be part of it from day one.
- You will work alongside a passionate team, help shape our culture, and contribute directly to building our operations, brand, and success in a new market.
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our new London, Ontario facility, just north of the 401. Please note that remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role, as it requires a consistent on-site presence to support daily operations and team collaboration.
Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking
