Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics, Transportation & Booking Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing transportation logistics of incoming materials, outgoing products, and efficient and timely movement of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Duties

  • Obtain shipping quotes (domestic and international), schedule, and prepare the required documentation for all inbound, outbound and inter-plant shipments, including utilizing/scheduling the company van as an alternate shipping vehicle.
  • Monitor load movements to ensure timely & incident free deliveries, pickups, etc., completing damage claims as required.
  • Driving the company van as necessary to move parts between plants or pickups/deliveries.
  • Booking of cranes, equipment & contractors providing on-site and off-site services.
  • Attend the weekly production meetings, providing updates of inbound/outbound loads, discussing requirements of upcoming loads (urgency, vehicle type, special requirements such as tarps or Marine Wrapping, Impact Recorders, etc.).
  • Update the Quote Order Log & Production Schedule with transportation information.
  • Support customer requirements for transportation of their goods including their paperwork (International Docs, etc.).
  • Assist other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in transportation or logistics management is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license may be required depending on specific job duties.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
