Role Purpose: Wolfe's Buyers drive tactical procurement excellence, managing purchase orders from demand through delivery while optimizing costs and supplier performance. They maintain precise inventory control through strategic supplier collaboration and ensure materials meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Leveraging strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills, they orchestrate efficient material flow to support seamless operations and maintain optimal stock levels.
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and send purchase orders based on requirements in ERP system or upon request.
- Manage purchase orders from demand to delivery of goods to inventory or projects
- Negotiate cost savings
- Source new vendors and complete cost comparisons for purchased components.
- Provide regular updates to project teams on status of deliveries, backorders etc. and expedite orders as required.
- Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
- Update delivery dates on orders as required
- Complete inventory spot checks as needed
- Order spare parts as needed.
- Complete vendor returns as needed.
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in a purchasing/buying role
- Must have exceptional time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
