We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time CNC Operator to join our team located in London Ontario.

Job Summary:

This is full time CNC Operator position, reporting to the CNC Manager. The CNC Operator will be required to produce components on a CNC milling machine and attention to detail as well as a good understanding of component drawings is critical in this position.

The Responsibilities for the position will include:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations.
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances as well as measure and lay out work pieces.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain a CNC machine to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations.
  • Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools where needed.
  • Provide tooling, fixturing, and process improvement solutions as needed during each machining procedure.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including machine settings, tool changes, and program changes.
  • Verify dimensions of machined products for accuracy and conformance to specifications on the drawings using precision measuring instruments.
  • Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to the CNC Manager.
  • Complete and maintain inspection reports.
  • Meet technical work standards by following production, productivity, quality standards, resolving problems and identifying work process improvements.
  • Available to work flexible hours, overtime as needed.

Education, Skills, and Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience and knowledge in CNC machining.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing process considered an asset.
  • Detail oriented, both in paperwork and computer-generated drawings.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Windows user interface.
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.

  • Experience with manufacturing precision-machined components and related processes including heat treatment, assembly and testing activities.
