As part of our growing Environmental & Sustainability team, you will play a key role in shaping and leading projects that reduce our impact on the environment, while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced industrial setting.
This is a great opportunity for an early-career environmental professional who wants to:

- Contribute to real, measurable improvements in energy, water, and waste reduction
- Assist with the assessment, development, and monitoring of TBCA's Environmental Action Plan
- Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), presenting results to leadership
- Participate in plant management reviews, audits, and compliance activities
- Support ISO14001 certification audits and corrective actions
- Lead and inspire colleagues through Green Team initiatives and plant-wide projects
- Assist with chemical management approvals to ensure compliance and minimize impact
- Support annual Environmental Month events and awareness activities
- Collaborate with EHS, leadership, and cross-functional teams to develop environmental policies, procedures, and training
Education
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy, or related programs
- Equivalent education and experience may be considered
- 1-2 years of experience in an environmental or sustainability role (co-op or internship considered)
- Exposure to a manufacturing/industrial setting preferred
- Familiarity with Ontario/Canadian environmental regulations is an asset
- Strong interest in sustainability in manufacturing
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable balancing office and shop-floor work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and open to continuous learning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Office/Shop Floor: Moderate to high noise levels
- Plant: Standard automotive environment with PPE required (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, TBCA uniform)
- Travel: Between Woodstock & Elmira facilities
- Physical Demands: Ability to walk, sit, stand, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs
