Master Scheduler Full Time/Contract/Maternity Leave Replacement

Purpose

The Master Scheduler/Planner plans and prepares production schedules for fabrication, instillation, and repair of metal roofing manufacturing. Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet customer forecasted master schedule.

Job Summary

The Master Scheduler/Planner is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. The Master Scheduler/Planner is responsible for determining the desired inventory levels for finished goods down to the pack size including safety stock levels. The Sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints will be used to develop production plans, by month, for a rolling two months period.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create rolling 2-month Master Production Plan for the fabrication of metal roof. Utilize the production capacity, taking into consideration the forecast, historical sales, and new business opportunities.
  • Plan, organize and schedule production orders for the plant to ensure that the required products are manufactured in time to meet the customer demands.
  • Schedules shipping dates with installers for the installation of the metal roofs.
  • Liaise with sales, shop personnel, installers and operations to ensure priorities are understood and being executed.
  • Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule.
  • Support S&OP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, resource implications. Update Master Production Plan as necessary.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
