Compensation & Total Rewards Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compensation & Total Rewards Analyst to join our Human Resources team in London, Ontario. In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with federal and provincial laws and regulations.

KEY JOB ELEMENTS:

  • Participate in salary surveys and benchmark compensation practices against market data
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on GDLS-C’s compensation programs using the latest survey results
  • Prepare strategic recommendations on salary structures and incentive planning to attract and retain talent within budget
  • Develop compensation presentations that effectively convey data insights through visually engaging and clear, easy-to-understand slides
  • Manage annual compensation process for salaried employees, including modeling budgets and establishing guidelines for base pay and incentive planning within SuccessFactors
  • Prepare compensation planning worksheets within SuccessFactors Compensation Module and in Excel for unique situations
  • Participate in job evaluations
  • Lead the development and communication of compensation policies and procedures
  • Proactively identify problems and opportunities for improvement, taking initiative to recommend and implement effective solutions
  • Prepare compensation reports and analytics to support business decision-making
  • Participate in special projects related to compensation and total rewards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business or HR discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation, HR, or related discipline
  • Solid understanding of compensation principles and best practices
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy
  • Advanced MS Office skills, including MS Excel (formulas, macros, pivot tables)
  • Customer service focused with a demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong, agile team player capable of performing in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Success Factors Compensation Module
  • Knowledge and experience completing compensation benchmarking surveys
  • Progress towards or completion of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation
  • Progress towards or completion of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
  • Progress towards or completion of CHRP/CHRL designation

The Compensation & Total Rewards Analyst opening is an upcoming vacant position at General Dynamics Land Systems – Canada. The base salary hiring range for this position is $67,200 to $84,000 per year. Once in the role, successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress through the full salary range based on performance. This range reflects the base salary only and does not include additional components of our total compensation package, such as our incentive award program and other rewards like health benefits, employee profit-sharing, retirement savings, and more.
