Warehouse Lead - Full Time
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, including team supervision, inventory management, and logistics functions such as receiving, storage, and shipping. This role emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and safety through staff training, workflow optimization, record maintenance, and cross-departmental coordination to meet operational objectives and ensure timely product movement. The ideal candidate is self-directed, able to work independently, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
Summary of Major Accountabilities
Inventory Support
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, facility rules, and regulatory compliance.
- Staff Management: Train, schedule, assign tasks, evaluate, and motivate warehouse personnel.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, perform counts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate records of goods.
- Operations Oversight: Oversee receiving, storage, and shipping of products, ensuring timely dispatch and proper handling.
- Efficiency & Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, optimize workflows, and reduce costs.
- Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Planning, organizing, and directing activities within the warehouse to ensure that inventory levels are maintained
- Documentation: Organize and maintain relevant documentation, Job Travelers, Pick Lists, SOP’s, and work instructions.
- Assist with receiving and other production functions as required
- Support Team and Department Goals
- Attend and participate in daily huddles, and Staff meetings as required
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and contribute to a safe work environment
- Perform all duties in accordance with health and safety work requirements and processes
- Participate in Internal and External Audits as part of OES Quality Management Systems.
- Execute other tasks and provide back-up support to other team members, as required.
- Other related duties as assigned and communicated by Manufacturing Manager and/or Department Manager
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
· Post-Secondary Education in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, or related field
· Minimum 5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
· Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in a team setting
· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint (Epicor an asset)
· Knowledge of OES Quality Management Systems, ISO (9001, 14001, 13485), and other SOP’s.
Technical Skills
· Leadership: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
· Problem-Solving: Proactive in anticipating and resolving issues.
· Time Management & Organization: Efficiently manage workloads and resources.
· Technical Skills: Knowledge of inventory management systems (IMS) and warehouse operations.
· Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is often required. Knowledge of inventory control procedures
· Knowledge of computerized barcode inventory systems/accounting procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
