We design and manufacture a variety of engineered products including propane motor fuel tanks, commercial and industrial pressure vessels, and automated propane cylinder vending kiosks.
Founded in 1963 and based in London, Ontario, we are proud to employ a diverse team of highly skilled welding and engineering professionals. Our 147,000 square foot production facility boasts a state-of-the-art air quality and ventilation system including air purifiers, ten skylights, strategically placed ceiling fans, top of the line welding machines and helmets and high efficiency LED lighting throughout the production floor.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welding Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong technical abilities, a safety-first mindset, and a passion for custom fabrication. The successful candidate will be self-reliant and capable of independently producing high quality components with minimal supervision. Core Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, and Metal-Cored welding on various metals. (knowledge of sub-arc process a benefit)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
- Fabricate components with accuracy, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications
- Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and meet project deadlines
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety and accountability
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous custom welding fabrication experience required
- Previous pressure vessel welding experience considered an asset
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Experience with fabrication tools and inspection methods
- Knowledge of materials and the behaviours under heat and stress
- Knowledge of metal properties and fabrication methods
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Embraces the high productivity work environment by positively contributing to the team effort and meeting or exceeding production targets
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability
- Patience and perseverance for complex or repetitive tasks
- Proficiency with grinders, torches, drills, and other fabrication tools
- Ability to perform weld inspections and identify defects
- Knowledge of material handling overhead crane and rigging techniques
- Brake press and iron worker skills considered an asset
