Role Description The Electrician at Aspire is a full-time, on-site role based in London, ON. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a production and farming environment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Daily tasks include troubleshooting electrical issues, performing routine inspections, reading and interpreting electrical drawings, and coordinating with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime. The Electrician will follow all safety regulations and company procedures, document work performed, and support continuous improvement initiatives for facility infrastructure. The role may also assist with commissioning new equipment and supporting upgrades to electrical and control systems.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong practical skills in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial or commercial systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading electrical schematics, using diagnostic tools, and interpreting technical documentation.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices for working with high-voltage and low-voltage systems.
- Candidates should possess abilities in preventive maintenance planning, documenting work orders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant trade certification or license as an Electrician (e.g., Journeyperson) in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain it, is highly beneficial.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or agricultural facilities, ideally with automation or control systems, is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are important.
- Comfort with working on-site in a production environment and commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards is required.
