Key Job Elements:
- Complete daily planning cycle to support production (Weld, Assembly & Aftermarket)
- Assist with inventory management within the production facility and third party logistics provider
- Analyze and coordinate offload/Plan material load for CSTC producer and consumer depts.
- Coordinate outbound shipments with premium transportation if necessary (MSRs and EShip)
- Assist with inventory mgmt. and movements to and from divisional facilities
- Provide upfront status of critical shortages to internal customers, assisting in the resolution and creating workaround plans
- Ensure that the customer has the best information available in order to make informed decisions
- Work as a team player within Production Material Control (PMC) and collaborate with cross-functional departments maintaining multiple customer requirements
- Meet or exceed monthly targeted direct hours available to Production
- Maintain indirect hours to monthly budget
- Maintain communication with the SCM Analyst – Projects teams, PMC Make Planners, Production, Customer Support Services Projects and Program customers
- Incorporate new techniques/tools into daily process
- Create and maintain desk top procedures
- Monitor and support in the care and control of Government Property asset management within CSTC
- Monitor and assist in the inventory, disposition, and disposal of scrap and discrepant material
- Manage completion of all CSTC PMC deliverables while ensuring compliance of Company policies and Government regulations as applicable
Required Qualifications:
- University degree or College diploma, preferably in Materials Operations Management or Business
- Minimum 3-5 yrs previous materials management experience
- MRP - ERP experience
- Must be able to meet Anthropometrical size restrictions for confined space
- Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task and take initiative as required
- Demonstrated high level of communication and team work skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Government property material, processes and contractual requirement
- Previous experience with Oracle
- APICS certification or in process of acquiring
