Overview of the Role
Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Technician, Quality Control, for an existing opportunity within our organization. Under the responsibility of the QA Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for batch tracking verification in addition to lab quality control testing on finished products including microbiological, chemical and sensory testing as well as on floor quality control programs.
Status: Permanent, Full Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2pm – 10pm (8-hour shifts)
Wage: Starting at $29.25/hour
*There are 2 wage increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $32.50/hour.

How you will make contributions that matter:
In this role, you will support the Quality Control team by ensuring that all finished products, in-process samples, and production environments meet established food safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct finished product and in-process sample testing for both microbiological and chemical composition analysis.
- Perform finished product and in-process organoleptic (sensory) evaluations.
- Support on-floor quality programs, including processing and packaging line verifications and checks.
- Assist in quality investigations, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting activities with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in the environmental monitoring program and support additional quality programs as required.
- Complete accurate data entry, documentation, and paperwork reviews to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Assist with new product testing, shelf-life studies, and customer complaint investigations.
- Perform routine equipment calibrations to maintain testing accuracy and reliability.
- Monitor GMPs
- Carry out additional job-related duties as assigned.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
- A Diploma or Certificate in Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) or a related discipline.
- Work experience in a Quality Control environment (an asset).
- Knowledgeable in GMPs and GLPs
- Work experience in a food processing environment (an asset).
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong data entry skills and the ability to analyze results accurately.
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Experience with Maestro/AS400 systems (an asset).
