As a member of The Power Team at GDLS-C, the Subcontracts Procurement Professional plays a key role in driving the successful execution of complex procurement and subcontracting activities. This position ensures supplier performance, contract compliance, and alignment with program objectives through effective negotiation, relationship management, and process improvement. With partner sites across Europe, this is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global supply chain management and complex program delivery within an environment that values initiative, teamwork, and results. Key Job Elements

Subcontract Management
  • Manage subcontracts for complex procurement projects from initiation through completion.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all subcontracting activities, including purchase orders and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation is properly filed and accessible for audit and reporting.
  • Verify subcontractor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies (including trade compliance and cybersecurity).
Communication & Relationships
  • Build and maintain productive, collaborative relationships with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication across all levels of the subcontract lifecycle.
  • Resolve disputes or issues promptly to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on subcontract performance, risks, and opportunities.
Negotiation
  • Develop and issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Lead negotiations for pricing, schedules, and terms to achieve cost savings and mitigate risk.
  • Develop and manage subcontracts in alignment with LVM Power’s strategic objectives.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process and performance improvements within subcontract and supply chain management.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and technologies impacting procurement and subcontracting best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in subcontract administration or procurement, preferably in a complex or high-value environment.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating and managing complex procurements.
  • University degree or college diploma in business, supply chain, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Ability to travel (15% Cdn) and (15% US/Int’l) and possess / be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
