We’re actively searching for our next team member for the position of:

Social Media Specialist

PURPOSE: Execute TMI’s social media presence across key channels, including paid and organic content, influencer engagement, and community management.

Responsibilities Include:

Content Creation & Publishing

  • Develop, schedule, and publish compelling organic social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) in alignment with the content marketing strategy and editorial calendar
  • Manage the profiles and on-page feeds to ensure a credible and coherent image, with visually compelling content that is optimized for each platform
  • Research and recommend paid social ad audiences, formats, creative and budget to maximize campaign objectives
  • Track and experiment with platform trends, algorithm changes, and feature/format updates to maintain brand reach and relevance
  • Administer social media account access for regional marketing and agency partners in accordance with the social media policy

PArtner Content Programs

  • Drive user generated content (UGC) and employee social advocacy to scale brand reach and influence
  • Identify, vet, and cultivate social media influencers for both HCP and patient audiences, which includes the management of briefs, contracts, schedules of deliverables, and content approvals

Community Management

  • Speak as the brand across social platforms, ensuring consistent expression of the brand promise and voice
  • Foster genuine engagement by initiating conversation with fans and partners, and seeking opportunities to surprise and delight
  • Ensure audience comments, messages, and mentions are acknowledged/responded to in a timely manner while monitoring and escalating issues and complaints in accordance with TMI policies

Success Measurement & Reporting

  • Monitor and escalate brand mentions, emerging issues, or trending conversations to manage the organization’s reputation and ensure post-market surveillance requirements are met
  • Recommend, monitor, and report on KPIs to ensure social media performance is meeting business and brand objectives
  • Recommend and implement platform and content optimization based on data-driven insights
  • Track recurring questions or feedback to share with relevant internal teams

Health and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or diploma in marketing or a related field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing or communications
  • Experience managing influencers and content partners
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills (comfortable posting on social and web platforms, blogging, etc.)
  • Experience with social media management, community management, and social listening platforms
  • Proficiency working with business functions of social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo, YouTube, and Twitter
  • Strong relationship management, empathy and ability to de-escalate complaints
  • Exceptional judgment when speaking as a brand and managing its reputation
  • Knowledge of digital analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook] and Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
