Role Summary:

This position reports directly to the Supply Chain and Logistic Manager and is responsible for managing the day-to-day transportation and storage of goods. This job will focus on supporting the company and our customers by scheduling and supervising the transportation and procurement of goods, managing and monitoring on-site and off-site inventory, and supporting all departments with the achievement of organizational goals. This position requires someone who has strong attention to detail, is willing to take initiative, and works towards continuously improving the department.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the procurement, inventory control, and storage on-site and off-site of raw, in-progress, and finished goods
  • Optimize inventory count, storage, and placements to ensure ease of access and continuance of production
  • Use resources available to them to problem solve and resolve scheduling issues and production shortages as they arise
  • Communicate with other departments to identify and resolve issues, capacity restraints, or shortages
  • Monitor, collect, and update data regarding current operations including inventory, shipment scheduling, material sourcing, warehousing, production, and delivery
  • Ensure shipment information and inventory data are up to date and accurate
  • Analyze data and current procedures to determine areas for improvement
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field such as Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 1-2 years of Supply Chain Experience
  • Strong capabilities to use Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Gmail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to effectively manage time and stay organized
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for details
  • Problem-solving skills

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work day, afternoon, and night shifts
  • Able to work 8 and 12-hour shift rotations
  • Overtime work during peak seasons of operation
  • Lift items up to 15 kg
