The new 640,000 square foot facility will call London, ON home and will employ over 1,600 employees as we ramp up operations over the next few years.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

Reporting to the MRO Supervisor, the MRO Coordinator maintains the inventory management and warehousing long-term strategies based on the consequences of equipment failure and the business’ needs/acceptable risks (i.e. unscheduled downtime versus inventory levels). They consider these business parameters, the tools available and how best to support the Maintenance Department.

The MRO Coordinator is a detail-oriented storekeeper with inventory and warehouse management experience applying proven MRO best practices in an industrial environment.  The Coordinator is familiar with using the SAP warehouse management system, MS Office tools and with applying Standard Operating Procedures in his/her work. The Coordinator follows company policies, standards and guidelines as they apply to all activities.
 
As MRO Coordinator, you will:
  • Consistent with our leadership values, act as a champion for our culture by participating in the development and execution of a positive and productive environment focused on the needs of our people.
  • Collaborate with MRO team, including purchasers to ensure optimal stock levels of critical spare parts.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts including physical counts.
  • Compare physical stock count to SAP stock to ensure accuracy and reconcile differences (Spot Checks)
  • Create bin locations physically and in SAP.
  • Stock bin locations with spare parts and maintain an organized storeroom.
  • Work with Planner to ensure all required parts are available prior to the work being scheduled
  • Process all returned parts as required.
  • Apply the Materials Management process in support planned maintenance operations.
  • Regularly review Materials/Inventory Management guidelines with key stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve the Materials/Inventory Management performance based on Maintenance and Operational results and data.
  • Participate in regular Material/Inventory Management strategy planning sessions.
  • Maintain vendor information attached to the material part numbers.
  • Process parts/materials request to meet time requirement.
  • Verify that parts/materials received conform to the PO and are in good condition. Inform Purchasing if the quantity of parts/materials does not correspond to the PO or are damaged.
  • Identify new, used, broken and refurbished spare parts in the warehouse and track in SAP.
  • Follow the plant split valuation process for repairs/refurbishment requirements.
  • Follow the spare parts disposal process.
  • Ensure provision of care and preservation for spare parts in the warehouse.
  • Oversee the documented parts receiving and issuing processes.
  • Kit and stage all required parts for scheduled work prior to the work being added to the schedule
  • Regularly review kits with the Planner or End User.
  • Ensure all Chemicals have been approved before releasing into stock.
  • Participate in the Maintenance department's continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist to resolve shortfalls in Inventory levels
  • Maintain required stock levels of consumables.
  • This position will be expected to drive continuous improvement efforts in the stockroom.
  • Must be able to be licensed with various Power workers.
  • Good leadership and communication skills, works well in a team environment.
  • Promotes and maintains a safe working environment through compliance with MLF’s Health and Safety Program. This includes Food Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Demonstrates a full commitment to the implementation of the requirements of the Global Standard for Food Safety and to processes which facilitate continual improvement of food safety and quality management.
  • Perform required Housekeeping of the Stockroom when needed.  

What You’ll Bring:  

  • Experience in a Manufacturing plant, or heavy industry experience as a Coordinator or a related role.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office suite considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, Critical thinking, Communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of MRO parts.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
