Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Contract) to lead and oversee complex projects within enterprise software environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management methodologies, and experience with CAPEX projects, ideally in the food manufacturing industry. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation and organizational skills to ensure successful project delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Duties

  • Lead end-to-end project management for enterprise software implementations, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans using tools such as Microsoft Project and Visio; monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams utilizing methodologies like Agile, Kanban, TFS, Jira, and SDLC frameworks.
  • Manage release planning and deployment activities including release management and disaster recovery planning.
  • Oversee project documentation including status reports, risk assessments, and change management procedures.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate deliverables meet business needs before deployment.
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams on database management (SQL, Oracle), cloud infrastructure (AWS), and enterprise software systems.
  • Lead program management efforts for large-scale initiatives involving multiple projects; ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Negotiate with vendors and stakeholders to secure resources and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with project management standards such as PMBOK and SDLC best practices while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Background in mechanical/electrical, food/technology or chemical engineering within the food industry.
  • PMP certification
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, and PMBOK standards.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
  • Technical understanding of databases (SQL, Oracle), enterprise software solutions
  • Experience with release management, user acceptance testing (UAT), disaster recovery planning, and software development lifecycle activities.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate diverse teams across multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting purposes.
  • Analytical skills for requirements gathering, risk assessment, and problem resolution.
