Senior Financial Analyst

Senior Financial Analyst Masco Canada (Hybrid with base of St Thomas ON office)

Reporting to the Sr Manager of FP&A, you will join a developing team.  As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will work closely with internal partners to help maximize profitability when it comes to business decisions, forecast company performance, and track variable spend through department budgeting.

We are looking for a team player with strong business acumen, innovative ideas, excellent communication skills, and a drive to win. 

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline

• Solid understanding of budgeting and forecasting principles

• Thorough knowledge of Canadian and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills with the capacity to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail.  

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

• Familiarity with BI tools such as Cognos Analytics, including the ability to create queries and extract relevant data sets for analysis, is an asset.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for fostering effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel to our offices as required (Mississauga/St Thomas ON)

What You’ll Do:

• Budgeting

  • Work closely with budget owners to review variable spend and update forecast as needed

  • Further develop budget analysis and reporting processes

• Forecasting

  • Assist with development of annual forecast and long range plans

  • Ensure monthly forecast is updated for market and business assumptions

• Assist Internal Partners in making profitable business decisions

  • Provide feedback to internal partners on proposed business cases such as incentive pricing and vendor negotiations to ensure profitability and VCM are in line with targets

  • Provide transfer pricing analysis

• Internal and External Reporting

  • Assist with preparation of monthly external reporting to parent company such as the Sales and Operating Profit Bridge and Business Review Letter

  • Assist with profitability analysis and allocation by Channel, Customer, Brand, Category for internal reporting

  • Support other ad hoc reporting requests as needed
