Job Description:

  • Perform incoming inspection and testing of parts ranging from electronics, wire and harness, crimping, metal and painting according to company specification and industrial standards.
  • Raise NCR (non conformance report) on rejected parts and follow-up on disposition.
  • Communicate supplier issues regarding the disposition of non-conforming material and participate in MRB (Material Review Board)
  • Generate Work Instruction on incoming products as needed
  • Follow sampling plans according to industrial standards
  • Inspect/test PCB assemblies and cable harnesses according to IPC standards
  • Communicate with customer inspectors during first article inspection and source inspection (FAI/PSI) process
  • Various administrative tasks such as creating and maintaining databases, deviation documentation and compiling departmental metrics
  • Participation in Internal and external audits

 

Qualifications:

  • College certificate in electronics or related field and experience in electronic assembly.
  • Knowledge/understanding of industrial workmanship standards.
  • Quality Assurance accreditation considered an asset.
  • Work experience within the electronic industry
  • Experience in metrology
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and industrial workmanship standards (IPC610, 620, 7711/7721) are considered and asset

 

Requirements:

  • Understanding of basic electronics.
  • Able to read blue prints
  • Understand sampling plans and tables 
  • Experience in wire crimp and solder inspection according to IPC industrial standards
  • Basic computer skills including use of Word and Excel
  • Ability to work as a team player and under minimal supervision
