Forklift Operator - $21.50/hr + Shift Premium

We are looking for qualified Forklift Operator to join the team at our window manufacturing plant in London.

Job Description

• Perform duties associated with the safe operation of forklift including but not limited to: movement of raw materials and finished goods to various areas in the plant, unloading and organizing raw materials, emptying and replacing waste receptacles or vinyl shaker barrels
• Complete documentation/paperwork as required
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform manual material handling of product throughout the process as required
• Communicate with Lead Hand and Supervisor(s) on safety or process related issues
• Adhere to plant safety rules, health and safety policies and procedures
• Other activities/work as assigned by Materials Manager

Qualifications

• 1 – 3 years propane counterbalance forklift experience
• Current Forklift Certification
• Ability to complete in-house forklift evaluation
• Previous production experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Experience in proper material handling and ergonomic techniques
• Ability to work in a team environment
• High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Information

• Position may require standing, walking or sitting for prolonged periods of time in multiple areas inside and outside of the facility
• Forklift certification paid for by employer
• $0.50/hour afternoon shift premium
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts – 2 weeks days and 2 weeks afternoons, 8-10 hour days
• NOT on a bus route
