General Labourer/Driver

Description

Complete a variety of general duties within manufacturing and logistics to enabling them to focus on specialized tasks in a clean and safe environment. Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of purchased materials & parts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor fleet appearance and maintain cleanliness
• Complete deliveries of components and pick-ups of shop materials ordered
• Monitor shop cleanliness, identify potential safety hazards due to untidiness, advise supervisor and clean up accordingly
• Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures; inform management on unsafe practices
• Maintain garbage and recycling program and prepare for weekly disposal
• Prioritize and complete all tasks assigned by Manufacturing Manager in a timely manner
• Complete a variety of tasks including but not limited to painting, general shop maintenance, assisting with assembly of automated machines, using the forklift to move parts, etc.
• Fill out daily truck reports
• Receive parts through BOS receiving process and distribute where directed
• Follow outsourcing board, prioritized by Manager/Supervisor
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid G Driver’s License required

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of health and safety and safe operation procedures
• Understanding of manufacturing environment
• Proper load securing for transport

• Lift heavy objects on a regular basis
