FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS MANAGER is a role in our Corporate Finance team.

 

 

This is an office-based role with the option of a hybrid work arrangement.

You are a University grad with a degree in Finance or Accounting and have earned your CPA designation. You have at least 5 years of relevant experience including significant Public Accounting experience servicing clients operating internationally. Experience working with Microsoft GP, Microsoft 365, One Stream and Power BI would be an asset as well as experience in preparation of large consolidated/audited financial statements.

 

 

Reporting to our Senior Manager of Corporate Finance, you will apply a highly analytical and performance-oriented approach to the financial performance management of the Corporation and its related companies. You will ensure that consolidated and statutory accounting for the Trudell Medical Group of companies is reported accurately and in compliance with accounting standards in a timely fashion.

 

 

Specifically, you will focus on:

 

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare quarterly consolidated financial statements and Board financial reporting package for the Trudell Group, along with the appropriate analysis in both statutory and performance-based financial reporting format in timely manner
  • Work in conjunction with finance leadership to support digital transformation; build-out and evolution of business intelligence architecture and financial reporting in new ERP system to expand automation, improve efficiencies, and identify opportunities for enhanced reporting

 

Financial Performance Management, Budgeting, and Forecasting

  • Review and analyze monthly reporting packages from operating companies/ consolidated results to ensure accuracy, identify key issues and trends, and work with operating companies/senior leadership team to understand variances
  • Contribute to elevation of performance management reporting quality by identifying and implementing improvements to reports, better meeting needs of senior leadership team through development of KPIs and dashboards, etc.
  • Contribute as a key team player with the annual budgeting and business plan process, including assisting with consolidated review process, and ensuring annual consolidated budget and periodic consolidated forecasts are accurately prepared by performing detailed-level reviews and reconciliations of all financial budgets and business plans

 

Insurance Program

  • Manage the Trudell Medical Group commercial insurance program
  • Assist in the identification and mitigation of insurance risks and emerging risks across the organization
  • Liaise with the Company’s insurance brokers and operations to provide information required for the annual renewals of various commercial coverages
  • Tender the Company’s insurance program as required

 

Accounting

  • Assist senior leadership with financial oversight of scale-up entity that is within the Trudell Medical Group of companies through development and implementation of processes, identification of areas to improve and implement controls, and ensuring proper accounting of transactions within accounting framework, etc.
  • Assist with review of monthly and quarterly accounting of smaller entities as needed
  • Assist with year-end activities and external audits as needed

  • Assist with acquisition/value-based modellingdue diligence requirements, and integration as required
  • Assist with one-off business activity analysis and special projects as needed
