Continuous Improvement Supervisor

This position reports directly to Operations Manager and will have a high level of collaboration with all departments.

Inovata Foods Corp.is looking for a Continuous Improvement Supervisor to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

 

Position Details:

  • Vacancy Type: Planned Vacancy
  • Pay Range: $80,000 – $90,000
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a central support resource for all shifts (days, afternoons, nights) to troubleshoot issues and remove operational barriers
  • Provides on-floor leadership support during high-risk, high-volume, or complex production situations
  • Identifies recurring operational challenges and implements sustainable solutions

Standardization & Process Improvement

  • Develops, implements, and audits standardized work procedures across all shifts
  • Ensures consistency in how supervisors execute production, safety, and quality expectations
  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, labour utilization, and waste reduction

Leadership Development

  • Coaches and mentors Production Supervisors and Senior Supervisors on leadership, decision-making, and accountability
  • Identifies skill gaps and supports development planning for frontline leadership
  • Reinforces expectations around communication, discipline, and team engagement

Cross-Shift Alignment

  • Ensures alignment between shifts on priorities, expectations, and execution
  • Bridges communication gaps between departments and shifts
  • Reviews shift handovers and ensures continuity of operations

Food Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Supports supervisors in maintaining compliance with HACCP, SQF, GMP, and internal standards
  • Identifies trends in non-conformances and drives corrective/preventative actions
  • Partners with QA and Maintenance to improve plant-wide standards

Performance & Metrics

  • Analyzes production data, labour metrics, downtime, and quality trends
  • Drives accountability for meeting production targets across all shifts
  • Supports implementation of KPI tracking and reporting improvements

Gap Coverage

  • Provides leadership coverage during absences, peak periods, or restructuring
  • Steps into a supervisory or senior supervisory capacity when required

Other

  • Leads or supports plant-wide initiatives, audits, and special projects

Performs other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • WHMIS 2015 (within 3 years)
  • Food Safety / HACCP training preferred
  • Lean / Continuous Improvement training considered an asset
 

Working Conditions:
