Equipment Planning Co-op

PowerCo Canada Inc. is establishing Volkswagen Group’s largest battery cell manufacturing facility in St. Thomas, Ontario, and we are seeking a driven Co-op student to join our team as an Equipment Planner Analyst. In this developmental role, you will support the planning and implementation of equipment across key battery cell production stages—including electrode processing, cell assembly, formation and aging, and cell finishing. This position provides hands-on exposure to advanced manufacturing processes, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship from experienced planners. This position is in-person and located in the charming town of St. Thomas ON. This is an 8 montn co-op role for a Canadian Co-op program.

• Support equipment planning activities across multiple production stages
• Assist in tracking project timelines, deliverables, and equipment readiness for installation and commissioning.
• Assist preparing summary reports, presentations, and status updates for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, logistics, and automation.
• Learn and apply industry standards and internal procedures related to equipment and process planning.
• Collect and organize planning level data for capacity analysis.
• Perform capacity and throughput calculations.
• Build high-level models using simulation software.
• Run basic scenario analyses (e.g. changes in cycle time, OEE, buffer sizes).
