Electrical Specialist/Engineer - C4 & Firepower

Key Job Elements and Responsibilities:

• Complete component level design tasks while keeping supervisor regularly inform on progress and issues encountered. Ensure all designs are peer reviewed by technical lead or assigned mentor.
  • Areas of focus is expertise on one or more domains of Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems: radios/antennas and intercom systems, navigation systems, cameras and electro-optic sensors, video networks, uncrewed systems (UAV, UGV, etc), designing wiring harnesses for such systems.
• Support test planning, execution, and reporting as assigned and under supervision of test lead.
• Provide status to supervisor on progress of tasks.
• Share insights and ideas for improvement with supervisor. Support improvement initiatives as requested.
• Identify opportunities for self-development. Raise ideas to supervisor attention.
• Support quality and Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) related activities as requested.

  Required Qualifications:

• University degree or College Diploma in relevant engineering discipline.
• 3 to 5 years relevant engineering experience.
• Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Project Management experience.
• Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
• Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space

 Preferred Experience:

• Ability to understand and review to GDLS-C drawing standards.
• Expertise in harness design tools such as Siemens’ Capital Enterprise suite or Zuken
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620D, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
• Experience with C4ISR systems on military vehicles
• Eng. or ability to obtain P. Eng designation
• Proficient with GDLS-C processes and products
