Maintenance Manager

This position reports directly to Inovata Foods' Director of Process Improvement.

Inovata Foods Corp.is looking for a Maintenance Manager to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and effect any necessary actions regarding the following Food Safety and Quality documents.
  • Manage: work orders, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and temporary repairs.
  • Oversees facility maintenance such as air and water filter replacements including all packaging equipment make-up air filters.
  • Oversee the monitoring and documentation of the facility equipment related to temperature control.
  • Oversee the monitoring and documentation of Boiler additives and de-scaling chemicals.
  • Participate in monthly plant and equipment inspections.
  • Ensure that new equipment or modified existing equipment is included in the maintenance program.
  • Corrective Actions Requests for maintenance: internal audits, third party audits.
  • Monitor maintenance such as filter replacements for air and water facilities and compressed air at packaging.
  • Examine monitoring and documentation of finished products warehouse temperatures if applicable.
  • Examine monitoring and documentation of chemicals for boilers and water treatment for chemicals for water treatment and boilers.
  • Review and enforce the GMPs with their employees.
  • Participate or provide support to HACCP team.
  • Review food safety non-conformances from plant inspections and provide corrective actions.
  • Promotes our SQF program for food safety and quality to all employees throughout the organization.
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the 5S program within the maintenance function.
  • Acting as the technical resource to address and resolve any maintenance related inquiries and problems.
  • Responsible for budgeting, cost control, maintenance related operational efficiency, cost optimization, supporting Capital Expenditure (Capex), Operational Expenditure (Opex) for the company maintenance activities and all the reporting associated with the department's costs.
  • Proven knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance activities including pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, cooking equipment, presses, milling, packaging systems, sanitation systems, boilers, compressors, refrigeration, welding, plumbing, electrical, control circuitry, instrumentation, industrial automation, PLC's, water treatment and others.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to plan, delegate and control activities of others and to positively influence people in their opinions, attitudes, and judgments.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience working in a department.
  • 3+ years' experience having direct reports or being a team leader.
  • Post-secondary education in related field.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing is a nice to have.
  • Experience managing timelines and projects with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experienced with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
