This position is for a Senior Mechanical Designer who will perform a variety of engineering product design and testing/verification assignments supporting Product Engineering initiatives for water/wastewater treatment equipment. Working as part of a cross-discipline team in a collaborative environment, you will be involved in many aspects of the product lifecycle. Products developed will directly impact water/wastewater quality globally.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Carrying out assignments of substantial variety and/or complexity requiring a sound understanding of related engineering principles and practices

  • Participating in product development and existing product enhancement from conceptual design to early lifecycle

  • Producing professional design drawings/documentation and building rapid prototypes to illustrate design concepts

  • Acting as a technical resource in a cross-functional product development environment

  • Creating and delivering on project plans as part of a collaborative team

  • Participating in testing and field verification

  • Implementing final designs through the organization, working closely with other functional areas

Are you qualified?

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Mechanical Engineering/ Technologist.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer.

  • Proficiency using CAD software such as SolidWorks 3D or Inventor.

It would be a plus if you also possess:

  • Proven track record developing innovative design solutions

  • Product development experience utilizing design sprints, rapid prototyping, and customer validation

  • Ability to create detailed design drawings suitable for manufacturing

The base salary range for this role is $65k-85k CAD annually. Factors that will be considered for the salary offered to the successful candidate include internal equity, years of direct job related and skill experience, and relevant job market.
