Position Summary 


We are looking for a Technical Stores Keeper based at our London Ice Cream Factory reporting into the Maintenance Manager. This role will be responsible for maintaining the spare parts in the stockroom, ensuring an optimal level of inventory, and working closely with maintenance personnel and suppliers.

 

A day in the life of a Technical Stores Keeper

 

As a Technical Stores Keeper, you will :

 

•    Housekeeping and organization of stockroom
•    Keep and maintain a safe work environment 
•    Management of spare part SKUs within SAP, including: Creating material master data for new part setups; deleting obsolete parts; master data changes as requested.
•    Receiving of parts and putting them away on shelves
•    Issuing parts to work orders and account codes
•    Cycle counting and inventory management
•    Giving parts to maintenance personnel
•    Labelling and organization of stockroom shelves
•    Communication both written and verbal, internally and externally
•    Lead stockroom continuous improvement initiatives 
•    Ability to stay on track with tasks with frequent interruptions 
•    Create and maintain maintenance processes in the stockroom and coach extended team members 
•    Other duties as required

 

What will make you successful?

 

•    College Diploma or University Degree in a related field, High school with relevant experience will be considered. 
•    Purchasing experience 
•    CMMS experience , preferably SAP  
•    Excellent computer skills, high proficiency in Excel, Power BI knowledge is an asset 
•    Strong communication skills, written and verbal
•    Mechanically inclined
•    Good math skills with the ability for measuring and attention to detail
•    Good problem-solving skills with the ability for creative thinking
•    Able to climb stairs and short ladders
•    Able to lift up to 25 Kg
•    Able to work with minimum supervision as well as in a team
