Key Job Elements:

• Support the development and maintenance of compliance Verification and Validation (VER/VAL) plans, procedures and schedules, including verification approaches and methods, at system and sub-system level, based on the scope of the project, to ensure that hardware, software, subsystem, and system level requirements will be met by the design, and that desired functionality results.
• Review technical content of Request For Proposals (RFPs) and sub-contracts. Support the development of Subcontractor Statement of Work (SOW) and Subcontractor Deliverable Requirements List (SDRL)
• Support the development and maintain Product Development Fabrication Specifications (PDFS) or other technical description documents using the Requirements Repository Module (DOORS) to include interface, performance, reliability, availability, maintainability, durability, and environmental test requirements.
• Support sub-contract qualification program test requirements, to ensure that the verification artifacts submitted by suppliers and/or sub-contractors are sufficient and acceptable. Monitor and maintain the integrity of requirements compliance through the product development’s process.
• Coordinate System Engineering (SE) analysis & test verification efforts, to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of SE products as well as their timely delivery to the external customers Write and /or review approve technical reports.
• Support the Cost Account Manager (CAM) on assigned tasks to status, plan, and issue baseline change requests. Support team leadership as required.
• Identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement initiatives at the team and departmental level. Support and guide team initiatives to maximize potential impact.
• Demonstrate behaviour to develop self. Act as team technical mentor to junior employees in your area of expertise. Support technical competency gap assessments and propose actions to improve readiness for future contractual work.
• Monitor and identify early warning signs of potential issues within team, and proactively take action to mitigate. Peer review and provide guidance on RCCA activities.
• Support the development and maintenance of team Best Practices. Ensure Lessons Learned are captured and develop into Best Practices. Peer Review all Best Practices within your area of expertise.
• Demonstrate breadth of knowledge and communication skills to lead technical customer interactions. 
• Support team bidding and proposal activity for larger or less well defined efforts.

Required Qualifications:

• University Degree or College Diploma in a relevant electrical engineering discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience
• Demonstrated technical writing ability.
• Strong technical and analytical ability.
• Product knowledge of the LAV vehicles.
• Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated ability to give presentations to internal and external customers.
• Ability to travel (5% Canadian, 10% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport.
• Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of LAV vehicles requirements and performance.
• Strong knowledge of cross-departmental procedures / practices
• Demonstrated proficiency in requirements development and system/sub-system verification processes and methodology in defense industry.
