Central Maintenance
Primary Purpose of Position
To provide support to the plants, by maintaining facility equipment, welding and fabricating of m/c guarding, platforms, foundry tools, flux/fire carts, etc.
Major Responsibilities of Position
- Facility Maintenance: Operate and maintain the waste water treatment equipment, cooling towers, water softeners, and gas mixing stations. Maintain all documentation relating to listed duties.
- Other duties, including special projects, as assigned by management.

- Support day to day activities based on supervisory and management team needs
- To communicate improvement ideas and provide solutions to day to day activities
- Access PLEX and put in daily hours against work done

Educational and Certification Background

Completion of grade 12 or equivalent GED. |

Personal Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes):
- Mechanical abilities for repair operations is an asset.
- Ability to make recommendations and improve on existing m/c guarding, platforms, foundry tools, etc.
- Must be reliable, be able to work independently and as part of a team with a flexible work schedule.
- Have good written and communication skills.
- Must be organized and able to keep accurate documentation.
- Understanding of most equipment within the plants.
- Knowledge of welding operations; mig, tig, stick, electrode, Oxyacetylene welding, brazing, and Plasma cutting.
- Be familiar with the OH&S Act and Regulations
- Knowledge of company policies & procedures.
- Continuous improvement.
- Strong team ethic.
