The Opportunity
The Spare Parts Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing spare parts for all the production equipment for the maintenance team.


 This position is a contract position for a duration of 6 months. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Quote parts and service for all equipment in house.
  • Create and submit orders for spare parts and service.
  • Liaise with Purchasing and Finance teams to ensure proper processing of Purchase Orders and Work Orders. Obtain Authorization when required before processing.
  • Keep detailed and accurate spare parts supplies inventories, and documentation.
  • Ensure maintenance shop has stock of all required parts and supplies. Create backup supplier list for as many parts as possible.
  • Participate in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement and to minimize downtime of all machines.
  • Ensure parts required for scheduled maintenance are on-site at the location prior to the start of the work order.
  • Meet, create and maintain supplier relationships that will help GD London.
  • Create ‘BOMs’ for all equipment in house with part substitutions as required.
  • Help maintenance team with troubleshooting and root causing as required.
  • Update engineering manager and maintenance supervisor on project updates as requested.
 
What You Need
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience; Licensed Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) a definite asset but not required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
 
Shift Overview
Day shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
 
Compensation
Starting rate of $36.00
