Press Operator - Metal Stamping

Job Specifications:

With emphasis on Safety and Quality:

• Working in both a team environment supporting your peers and as an individual maintaining your own workstation and production responsibilities.
• Monitoring and controlling a fully automated stamping process with hydraulic and servo-hydraulic presses (800T) and their supporting Automation (De-coiler, straightener, robots and transfer system)
• Responsible for press set-up, product quality inspection, data recording and minor adjustments to the equipment and tooling.
• Performing material handling duties in a production environment utilizing both a forklift and overhead crane.
• Maintaining the production environment through sustaining the companies 5S Standards.
• Establish and maintain effective communication levels within all levels of the organization.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years previous experience, preferably in the automotive industry
• Applicants must have prior work experience with monitoring and controlling a fully automated stamping process with hydraulic and/or mechanical presses.
• Competent and knowledgeable with progressive and transfer press operations and functions
• Previous experience driving a lift truck and operating an overhead crane is advantageous.
• Knowledge and understanding of basic Tool and Die Technology
• Knowledge and understanding of basic robotic concepts an asset
• Must be willing to work any shift and extended hours when required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
