Industrial Electrician - Straight Midnights

with JOB SUMMARY

• Straight Midnights 11pm-7am
• $37.80 + Shift Priemuim
• Unionized environment
• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or their designate.
• Strong PLC, robotics and control wiring background.
• Writing and debugging of PLC and Robotic programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain, repair, install and test switch gears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems and devices.
• Must be able to maintain and trouble shoot-welding equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records in accordance with standards established by the Company.
• Perform other duties as required from time to time by your Manager/Supervisor.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICIATIONS:

• Certified Electrician.
• Minimum of 1-2 years work experience in the trade.
• PLC Allen Bradley, KUKA and Beckhoff scripted text.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Manufacturing Environment
• Noise levels exceeding 85dBA
• Mandatory PPE requirements
• Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations while working in “Just in Time” environment.

• Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.

• Ensure that your Department is clean, tidy, organized and a safe workplace at all times.
