Overview
Arva Industries located in St. Thomas, Ontario is offering an excellent opportunity for an Inventory and Costing Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the costing on completed jobs as well as work allocation to the shop floor. We use Genius Software as our ERP environment. This is a full-time role at the company.
Duties:
- Confirm and release Planned Production Orders from Sales entry to completed production
- Interface with operations and engineering teams to ensure proper documentation and communication flow through the manufacturing process for new production orders.
- Update production BOMs (Bill of Material) as required by shop floor and engineering per changes made during assembly process ECN process.
- Process complete work orders and close work orders when complete.
- Close job orders and costing when complete, costing including completion of cost models and compare against budget or standard cost.
- Participate in the production planning forecast based upon the sales and operations planning process, develop effective scheduling process to achieve production objectives.
- Generate and maintain production reports to Managers for critical decision making purposes to be used in weekly production meetings.
- Work with Manager to plan and coordinate production schedules. Prepare and present the schedule document for senior management
- Review production specifications and identify and report plant capacity constraints.
- Assist in resolving manpower and material shortage problems in a timely manner with manager.
- Provide weekly production status reports for management.
- Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with managers to develop and execute production plan.
- Work with managers to develop potential solutions to improve production performance.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing and finance teams to develop and maintain scheduling parameters.
- Act as a backup resource to our purchasing clerk.
- Coordinate with purchasing to ensure and stock adequate materials to avoid material shortages.
- Prepare and work on annual physical inventory
Skills and experience:
- Able to take the initiative and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment
- Self-motivated and energetic team player who can work effectively in a high demand fast paced environment
- Excellent computer skills including the ability to work with an ERP system daily
- Above average proficiency in Microsoft office 365
- Strong skills with scheduling software in a manufacturing environment
The ideal candidate will have:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, commerce, purchasing or industrial field would be considered an asset
- APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent
- Strong technical and mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of production machinery and equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to be an effective team player

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
