Co-op Electrical Engineering Technologist
ESAC leads the electrical industry in innovative power system integrated solutions. We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and professional student team member who has completed their first two academic years of the Electrical Engineering Technology program and is now ready to take on their co-op term with confidence. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience during a 4-month co-op placement, with the possibility of extension. This placement will provide insightful Power Systems Electrical & Integration experience, with valuable involvement in our various projects and services
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist project technical staff with design support, development, testing, and implementation
- Create drawings, cable schedules, and RTU/protection systems assembly and testing
- Manage materials for RTUs, PLCs, and protection relays
- Provide applications investigation support, testing, and reporting
- Perform studies, programming, construction, installation, commission, documentation, and service
- Draft system user manuals, help out with overall project documentation and assist with client training and support
- Hang out with a great team in a relaxed environment
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and AutoCAD
- Experience in electrical power systems, protection, and control panels with application wiring
- Knowledge in interpreting drawings with product manuals, operating test equipment, and troubleshooting electrical circuits
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm for your field and future career path
- Ability to take on responsibilities and complete assigned tasks independently
- Ability to communicate effectively, oral and written
