POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Program Leo Trainer is responsible for understanding business and behavioral requirements of their assigned workstream and working cross-functionally to develop and deliver the global process and technology training needed to drive success for Program Leo and the McCormick organization in the transition.
The Trainer will work in partnership and collaborate with the business functions, process teams, and Organizational Readiness team, among others. The Trainer reports to their Global Process Owner. The Trainer role supports Sales & Marketing, with focus on Custom Flavor Solutions New Product Initiation and project management.
The Trainer should be able to demonstrate strong business and technical acumen and build a working knowledge of the future state of the program so that they can effectively participate in training activities, including conducting end-user training. End-user training will be delivered in various formats including overview sessions, web-based training, instructor led training (in-person and virtual), online simulations, and other supporting documents. The comprehensive training program will ensure that end users are equipped to perform their jobs on day one.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Confirm training needs and course curriculum for their assigned workstream
- Participate in the design, content development, and review of training materials, including localization
- Create “how to” reference guides and performance support materials
- Attend train-the-trainer sessions
- Prepare for and deliver training, including preparing local Super Users to deliver end-user training
- Answer business-related questions for end users and local Super Users
- Serve as the first line of performance support after go-live
- Escalate challenges, questions, and issues to the Program Team, as appropriate
- Monitor training effectiveness and adjust accordingly
- Identify areas requiring additional training post go-live
- Ease the transition by coaching their peers and modeling the new behaviors
- Support additional assignments by their GPO or OCM, as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related professional area
- 6-8 years minimum of business or professional experience
- Preferred: experience in Custom Flavor Solutions New Product Initiation process and/or project management or working knowledge of Cloud Coach
- Demonstrated buy-in for transformational change specifically Program Leo
- Demonstrated SAP experience and ability to quickly develop working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Global mindset and cross-cultural competency
- Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills in a deadline-driven environment
- Aptitude and enthusiasm for learning and teaching
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
- Strong team player and ability to work well within a process team
- Willingness to travel once travel resumes to support Canada & US deployments if required.
