Equals Brewing Company was founded in 2018 and has quickly grown to be a well-respected partner in producing great beers, ciders, and ready-to-drink products for many of Ontario’s and Canada’s favourite breweries and brands. Equals launched Bangarang Hard Seltzer in 2020, which has grown to be one of the fastest-growing RTD brands in Ontario. In 2021, Equals launched Shake Lager, which won a gold medal in its first appearance in the Canadian Brewing Awards.

Role Summary

This position is responsible for creating a positive, exciting, and memorable experience for anyone interacting with our setup. Serving and interacting with customers to inform them about who we are, what products we offer, and gather feedback from them. This position requires someone who is fun, outgoing, adventurous, and able to exemplify the band!

Responsibilities:

• Act as a brand ambassador by actively engaging with consumers at events and other activations such as concerts, festivals, markets, samplings, and more.
• Assist with set-up, tear-down, event preparation, and the preparation of event reports/feedback.
• Facilitate market research and insight gathering by hosting meaningful conversations with event attendees and responding to information and suggestions gathered.
• Support the lead with the organization, cleaning, and sorting of event materials.
• Work with team create a welcoming and memorable experience and problem-solve to mitigate any issues that may arise.
• Serve products to customers at events and activation sampling by following the venue requirements per event.
• Monitor each product being served to ensure the quality of each product and provide quality tasting experience for consumers.
• Assisting the Sales team with LCBO, Beerstore, Grocery and On-Premise Support.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organization and planning skills.
• Previous experience working in events, serving/bartending, marketing, and/or customer service.
• Strong competency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office.
• Passion to join the beverage industry, specifically working with RTD/Beer/Spirits.
• Smart Serve Certification is required.
• Passionate about Bangarang and Shake Lager products and shown desire and initiative to tell it to everyone.
• Experience with social media and marketing would be considered an asset.

Working Conditions:

• Flexibility required for hours of work and shift lengths
• Seasonal Summer Contract focusing on Wednesday-Sunday. Due to the nature of events, schedule times may vary depending on the requirements of each event.
• May be required to lift items up to 20+ lbs.
• G License is required, the candidate will be using a company van
• Driving across Ontario may be required
• Working locations may be indoors or outdoors

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: $18.00 per hour
