Job Responsibilities:
- Perform and document in-house testing of raw materials, packaging components, and finished product, including stability and customer observation samples.
- Track the status of QC samples; log samples in the Sample Log
- Perform calibration and preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments.
- Monitor laboratory chemical and supplies inventory.
- Update stability trending results and ensure samples are tested on time.
- Ensure good laboratory housekeeping is maintained at all times.
- Perform microbial incubation and enumeration according to environmental monitoring schedule and requirements (must have 2 university level microbiology courses)
- Act as lead inspector of 100% visual inspection of drug product
- Report and investigate deviations and out-of-specification results.
- Write or update controlled documents relevant to the quality department systems.
- Experience using Gas Chromatography instrumentation and HPLC instrumentation an asset.
- Inspect coded packaging components for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform all work in a GMP-compliant and safe manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in the sciences
- University level courses in Microbiology
