Shape the future of water technology through advanced power electronics innovation
As a key member of our Hardware Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, prototyping, and validating cutting-edge power electronics that drive our ultraviolet (UV) light technologies for water treatment systems.
This position offers the opportunity to lead complex design initiatives, influence product roadmaps, and contribute directly to next-generation solutions that protect public health and the environment.
This is an hybrid role based in London, Ontario, where you’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers dedicated to innovation, quality, and technical excellence.
?? What You’ll Do
In this senior-level role, you will take ownership of advanced power electronics development from concept through production. A typical day may include:

Lead the design and development of power electronics for UV light sources in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Provide technical recommendations and contribute to product and technology roadmaps.
-
Select conversion topologies and design control circuits for power electronics.
-
Partner with firmware engineers to define and optimize control strategies.
-
Design and specify magnetic components and related hardware.
-
Prototype, test, and validate power electronic assemblies.
-
Ensure compliance with safety and EMC standards.
-
Support mechanical and thermal design for electronic assemblies.
-
Conduct reliability, stress, and failure analysis.
-
Maintain engineering documentation, including schematics and BOMs.
-
Create technical reports and support the full product lifecycle from concept to manufacturing.
-
Troubleshoot electronic assemblies and support root-cause investigations.
-
Design and deploy test fixtures and apply structured problem-solving methods
?? What You Bring
We’re looking for a seasoned engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys leading technical innovation.

10 to 15+ years of experience in power electronics design.
-
Analyze, select and apply conversion topologies and control circuits for Power circuit design.
-
Experience with microcontroller based Controls circuits and associated firmware.
-
Experience with PCB CAD Software, schematic capture and PCB layout.
-
Demonstrated success developing innovative, high-performance electronic designs.
-
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities using effective project management techniques.
-
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is an asset.

The base salary range for this role is $97k-120k CAD annually. Factors that will be considered for the salary offered to the successful candidate include internal equity, years of direct job related and skill experience, and relevant job market.
