Typesetter / Signage Production

Purpose of Position:
Production of type set copy, other production related tasks to ensure product meets customer’s requirements in our Marking Devices and Signage Business Units. This is an entry level position that can quickly lead to advancement through training in some of our skilled trades at Sterling.

Result Areas of the Position:

To ensure all orders completed and process all orders to meet customer’s required delivery date

Qualifications:

· Very computer literate in PC environment including exposure to graphic software such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw

· Excellent spelling & keyboarding skills with window applications

· Ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to make sound decisions alone

· Reliable attendance

· Conscientious work habits

· Attention to detail and focus to task

· Typesetting/or quality check experience a definite asset

· Bilingual French an asset

Activities and Tasks:

· Typeset a/o enter orders, imports, related production tasks, running some production equipment

· Reject and reprocess orders when necessary

· Record on daily production logs

· Quality check orders against ISO requirements

· Overtime required on occasion

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $15.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
