QA Technician III- E Shift

The shift for this role is 7pm - 7am Sat, Sun, and Mon

Description Of Position

  • Conducts accurate and timely testing of raw materials, in-process products and finished products using in-house and/or AOAC approved methods
  • On a daily basis identifies areas of concern (salt, acid, colour, micro, improper mixing, etc.) and champions the process of conducting root cause analysis such that subsequent production is not compromised
  • Communicates effectively with internal customers, other McCormick divisions, vendors and external customers when required
  • Participates in sanitation audits and conducts allergen and sanitation validations when required
  • Develops, maintains and executes best practices associated with conducting analytical tests on time, completing all tests, properly interpreting results, and releasing items in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Follows all GLP and GMP requirements
  • Supports the execution of quality systems programs and management of the SQF programs for Food Safety and Quality
Education

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • University degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry or related discipline
Experience
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in food industry
  • Intermediate knowledge of PC software including Microsoft Office is essential
  • SAP knowledge an asset
  • Familiar with Quality Control systems, GLP, HACCP and GMP’s
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle heavy workloads with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work overtime as required and flexibility to work other shifts as required
