Job Description
- Design plastic parts and products for the automotive industry base on customer requirements and standards.
- Lead Design review meetings during the development stages of the project.
- Create detailed drawings, technical presentations for internal use and for the customer.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Design plastic parts and products for the automotive industry using injection molding technology.
- Responsible for several projects at the same time, and works closely with the project team interfaces internally and globally.
- Review customer requirements and suggest concepts and solutions.
- Obtain solutions to design issues/bottle necks together with relevant engineering teams.
- Cost and weight reduction solutions for automotive parts by converting them from metal to plastic.
- Prepare and present technical presentations with concepts and solutions.
- Manage Design review meetings during the development stages of the project.
- CAD design documentation in Arkal PLM system.

- All engineering teams, PM, QE, Marketing, FFC – ongoing
- Working with external suppliers and global customers
- Arkal sites PM, mold engineers

Education and Experience
Education and certifications, previous job experience
- Mechanical Engineer – required
- 3+ years of experience in design of plastic products in injection molding technology – required
Language Skills
High-level English (reading, speaking, writing)
Job Skills
Skills required –
- Reading and comprehension capabilities of technical drawing
- Preparation and presentation of technical presentations in English
Required knowledge –
- Experience in design of plastic products in injection molding technology – required
- Experience in designing complex parts using surfaces – required
- Experience in designing metal parts, sheet metals, etc – a significant advantage
- Knowledge of the requirements of the automotive industry – an advantage
Computer skills –
- Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- NX – required
- CATIA – advantage
- PLM – advantage
