You, As a Maintenance Technician, Will

 
  • Operate and maintain all courthouse equipment and tools.
  • Respond to emergency, urgent, routine on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective action on facility mechanical and courthouse equipment and systems.
  • Monitor assigned equipment and systems by conducting facility walkthroughs and Building Automation (BAS) monitoring.
  • Lead tradesmen/ subcontractors (accompany) on equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and calibration. Issue permit-to-work and hot work permits. Report any noncompliance and safety-related matter.
  • Ensure conformance to the Environmental Management System within key process areas.
  • Attend and participate in training programs as required by EDFS and local city and provincial jurisdictions.
  • Maintain records and information pertinent to work assignments.
  • Close PM and routine work orders on the PDA after completing work assignments.
  • Provide written estimates on work-related repairs and new construction projects as requested
  • Strict adherence to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to other staff.
  • Ensure and maintains compliance with assets under the management of FM.
  • Inventory management.
  • Assist with facility-related projects.

     
Is this the right role for you?
 
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ relevant experience
  • Building Environmental Services (BES) 1& 2 or Facility Maintenance Related Course is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Building Automation System (BAS)
  • Understanding of mechanical drawings and schematics
  • You can gather information, accurately assess issues, seek support, and take direction as necessary.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner to support the company's business needs.
  • Experience in HVAC is an asset.
  • Maintenance experience in a medical/hospital setting strongly preferred.
