Local Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday , 8:00am - 4:30pm

 

The production Bench Test Equipment (BTE) Assembly Technician will report to the Production Line Manager.  They will also work closely with the BTE Manager and Test Technicians.

 

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills include:

  • Assembly of new product

  • Assembly of time sensitive or politically sensitive production runs

  • Modification of new and/or used product

  • Assembly of Bench Test Equipment (BTE)

  • Communication with test technicians

  • Must demonstrate excellence in soldering and mechanical assembly.

  • Ability to read and analyze complex instructions, procedures, engineering drawings, schematics and specifications. Also be able to provide feedback for improvement.

  • Knowledge of assembly procedures, processes, and quality specifications.

  • Ability to locate and analyze production problems.

  • Ability to use test equipment to verify product or troubleshoot.

  • Hand and Eye coordination as well as finger and hand dexterity.

  • Detail-oriented. Precise.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within production and other departments.

  • Self-confidence.

  • Excellent communication and verbal skills.

 

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Education: Post-Secondary, Electronic Technician Diploma preferred.

  • Experience: 5 + years in Electronics Assembly

  • Training in IPC-610 and IPC-620 (or equivalent). Able to understand the IPC standards and apply them.

  • Prior PCB, cable & harness assembly experience preferred.
