The Opportunity

Reports to direct Supervisor/Manager

The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for providing technical expertise to the Maintenance and Operations team, supporting day-to-day functions and helping implement capex/improvement projects. The Maintenance Electrician will be well-versed in equipment launches including but not limited to PM and spare part implementation. You’ll work closely with functional groups across the site, acting as a liaison to ensure maintenance tasks are performed, completed, and closed out in a timely manner. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate with team members are key to success in this role.

What you will be doing…

  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions, replacing faulty components, and ensuring systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand the layout and requirements of electrical installations.
  • Rebuilding pumps, replacing seals, and supporting other building maintenance requirements.
  • Ensuring all work is performed according to relevant electrical codes, building codes, safety regulations, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and equipment launch projects.
  • Developing your skills through exposure to new equipment, projects, and training opportunities provided by Organigram.

To qualify, you have…

  • An Industrial Electrician certification.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in an industrial setting.
  • A mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various types of equipment.
