TFC Maintenance Manager

 

Description

 

Amsted Automotive, TransForm Canada, is looking for a Maintenance Manager to plan, direct and coordinate all activities relating to building and equipment maintenance to ensure that all assets are maintained in proper working order.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Promote and practice company Ideal Behaviours
  • Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principals
  • Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
  • Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives
  • Ensures that the maintenance department is staffed with competent personnel in all positions and that their abilities are identified, developed and utilized
  • Prepares and presents Goal & Objectives monthly metrics and provides corrective actions as necessary
  • Establishes a preventive maintenance program for the company’s critical production assets, building, and grounds to ensure that they are maintained and in working order at all times
  • Establishes a critical spare parts inventory for the company’s production equipment to ensure timely repair to maximize run time
  • Initiates maintenance work orders as required and prepares cost justifications for major repairs or renovations
  • Feasibility reviews, implementation, monitoring and measurement requirements for project status.
  • Maintains appropriate records regarding equipment, servicing, and safety
  • Ensures safe working procedures and proper housekeeping practices are adhered to at all times
  • Prepares schedules for all maintenance and select engineering projects
  • Responsible for assisting with OHSA compliance within the facility including maintaining safety plans
  • Responsible for helping to create and maintain required OHSA Safety Plans
  • Serves in the capacity of Fire Department Liaison for annual inspection and record retention
  • Responsible for Emergency Response Teams to include Safety Team
  • Helps to perform training needs for OHSA requirements
  • Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria
  • Serves in the capacity of Environmental Projects Manager on the ISO 14001 Core Team
  • Serves in the capacity of Internal Auditor for ISO 14001 program
  • Serves in the capacity of waste water handler commensurate with completion of proper environmental training
  • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
  • Manages all Maintenance Personnel

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant maintenance, preferably in management capacity
  • Experience in stamping environment preferred
  • Possess good mechanical aptitude
  • Must have excellent problem solving skills to applying the principles of root cause analysis
  • Effective interpersonal / communication skills required internally (within own department and others) and externally (suppliers and customers)
  • Ability to complete work assignments with accuracy, sense of urgency, and in a safe manner in accordance with established standards, and all applicable Regulations / Legislation
