Reporting to Director, Professional Services, the Project Manager, Software Implementations is responsible for coordinating a team of professionals in completing projects on time and within scope and budget while meeting the customer and Aquatic Informatics (AQI) business needs.  This includes applying project management best practices for AQI professional service projects from order to customer sign-off, keeping alignment with all internal and external stakeholders throughout the course of the project.

This is a role that will work remotely in Canada and travel up to 10% throughout Canada and the USA.

A typical day will involve providing oversight and technical software project management for a portfolio of projects from order to customer sign-off including:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for customers and key stakeholders during project implementation.

  • Leads project meetings

  • Tracks, communicates, and follows up on day-to-day questions from customers

  • Manages and reports on project financials including revenue forecasts for the assigned portfolio of projects

  • Manages the project change control process

  • Creates and maintains project schedules in project management software for standard and complex projects

  • Actively prioritizes tasks and dynamically allocates internal and contractor/integrator resources to meet business goals

  • Maintains the project decision and action item registers

  • Ensures project deployment is properly planned and communicated to the customer

  • Manages deliverables from partners/integrators/developers as required

  • Transitions the customer to support and customer success upon project completion.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in project management in the software industry

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, implementing software solutions for customers

  • Familiarity with platforms like AQUARIUS and/or Hach WIMS.

  • Demonstrable experience leading complex customer facing projects, including resource allocation

  • Experience and comfort delivering internally and customer facing at the executive level

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate technical concepts, including software architecture, APIs, integrations, and data workflows.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage several concurrent projects

Would also be great if you had these preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with environmental water, municipal, industrial and wastewater systems is an asset

  • Previous experience and knowledge:

  • SQL, scripting, or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Agile software development methodologies and tools.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel (experience writing VBA), specifically related to the manipulation of data required.
  • Knowledge of and experience configuring and troubleshooting network environments.

The base salary range for this role is $75k - $105k CAD.  This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
