Human Resources Generalist

Dr. Oetker is a state-of-the-art Pizza Production Facility in London, Ontario. With our Head Quarters in Germany, and operations in over 40 countries around the world, we are an international company with deep family roots dating back to 1891. Our facility which employees about 300 associates was built in 2014 and showcases modern, highly automated, high volume production lines where we produce Ristorante, Casa di Mama and Giuseppe pizzas under the Dr. Oetker label.

In our facility, we start with raw materials such as flour and yeast to make a great pizza crust, topping with sauce and ingredients to make a fantastic, finished pizza and then freezing and packaging the pizzas for retail distribution.

We are looking for an energetic, team-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team.

As an integral member of the HR team, you will work with Production Supervisors, Health & Safety and Quality departments to provide day to day HR support to our employees.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for the following:

Recruitment & Onboarding

· Responsible for full recruitment cycle

· Build continuous pipelines of talent for future opportunities

· Attract and source quality candidates through various partnerships and online tools

· Onboarding and orientation support

· Collect and track metrics to support successful retention measures

Administration

· Ensure accurate completion of employee new hire packages and files

· Assist with benefit enrolment including orientation

· Track and report on absenteeism

· Assist in various HR programs where required

· Backup for accurate timesheet submission using Dayforce

Employee Relations/Labour Relations

· Support the HRBP with investigations and grievances as required as required

· Respond to employee inquires

· Liaise with Management and employees as a trusted advisor to support all HR matters

Claims Management

· Assist in the claims management process

· Initiate leave of absence claims and tracking

· Ensure records are up to date and maintained accurately

Your Strengths:

· Post-Secondary education in a related discipline with focus on Human Resources

· Understanding of applicable legislation including OHSA, Human Rights, Labour Relations and ESA

· Advanced computer skills: Excel, Word

· Excellent communication and multitasking capabilities

· Strong interpersonal skills and detail oriented

· Experience in a manufacturing organization

· Previous experience with payroll and HRIS system an asset

· Professional HR designation (or working towards)
